Responsibilities
- Managing outsourced samples with partner Eurofins laboratories to ensure timely COA release for clients
- Preparing samples to be sent to sister labs or other contract labs for subcontracted work
- Processing online electronic orders from clients and sister labs
- Working with external and/or internal courier services to ensure timely arrival and delivery of samples
- Assisting in coordinating logistics of courier routes when needed
- Registration of incoming samples, maintaining a neat and accurate record system of work performed on a daily basis and as needed for quality control tests or regulatory purposes
- Entering sample data into Eurofins labware management system in a timely and accurate manner
- Maintaining supply inventory
- Adhering to appropriate quality measures to meet or exceed standards set by government regulatory and company requirements relevant to assigned duties
- Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations relative to assigned analytical work
- Maintaining and assisting others in maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Identifying process difficulties and reporting these together with proposed solutions to supervisor
- Maintaining cooperative working relationships with all company employees
- Communicating professionally, timely, and clearly to co-workers, including intra and inter departmental employees
- Promoting the company image through the exercising of sound and ethical business practices as related to the public and our customers
- Continually striving to improve the quality of work provided to clients through existing and new technologies
- Performing appropriate aseptic preparation and processing of samples and associated process controls
- Conducting all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ideal candidate would possess:
- AS or BS degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
- Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation
- Team spirit and positive attitude
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Tuesday – Saturday, 10:00am – 6:30pm
