Full-Time Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher childcare

About the role

This position is for a Full-time assistant to work with Infants/Toddlers at Salem Montessori School (SMS).

Responsibilities

- Share your respect and awe for children by becoming a passionate and supportive member of our community. - Work collaboratively with a caring team to ensure the well-being and development of every child. - Serve as a positive role model for children aged 0-3 years. - Maintain a structured classroom environment while fostering independence and exploration through the Montessori method. - Be physically and mentally present for children throughout the day. - Take initiative in problem-solving, caring for the environment, and building relationships. - Communicate effectively and professionally with children and staff. - Enforce rules and boundaries of behavior for children in your care.

Requirements

- Must be 18 years or older. - Hold a High School Diploma or GED. - Possess CPR and First Aid certification or be willing to obtain certification. - Have experience working with children (preferred). - Be able to lift and move objects as needed. - Be able to stand for long periods and be on your feet throughout the workday. - Be able to perform tasks outside of childcare duties such as cleaning.
