About the role
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking In‑Home Associate Veterinarians to serve families in Salem, Keizer, McMinnville, Dallas, Albany, Corvallis, Monmouth, OR and surrounding areas. As a mobile veterinarian you will provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families during one of life’s most meaningful moments. You will join a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, receive ongoing training, seasoned mentors, and dedicated practice managers, and practice independently while staying connected.
Responsibilities
You will deliver in‑home veterinary hospice and euthanasia services, spend quality time with families during appointments (averaging 3‑4 un‑rushed visits per day), and handle associated paperwork. The role emphasizes compassionate care, emotional support for families, and professional fulfillment.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Availability to work some weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb unassisted and up to 100 lb with assistance
- Successful completion of background and motor vehicle record checks (pre‑hire and post‑hire)

Pay
Compensation varies by schedule structure. Four‑day full‑time positions start at $85,000 base salary; five‑day full‑time positions offer a base salary of $100,000 plus additional bonus opportunities. Three‑day full‑time and part‑time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation.
Schedule
Flexible 2‑5 day‑per‑week schedules are offered, allowing freedom beyond the walls of a traditional clinic. An average of 3‑4 un‑rushed appointments per day provides more time with families and less time on paperwork.
