FULL TIME HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER

About the role

The Comfort Inn & Suites East Greenbush, NY (10 minutes from downtown Albany) is seeking a FULL TIME Housekeeping Manager.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive environment for housekeeping staff to work in.
• Perform supervisory duties including scheduling, inventory, and facilitating team huddles/meetings.
• Oversee Room Attendants, Laundry, breakfast, and Houseman.
• Inspect rooms ensuring they meet Choice Hotels and Ownership standards.
• Aid in training new and existing housekeeping staff.
• Assist in developing staff to improve and grow in their profession.
• Occasionally perform housekeeping duties to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Clean bathtubs, showers, toilets, sinks, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floors.
• Strip and make beds, change bed linens (maximum weight of 40 lbs).
• Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves.
• Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.
• Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest rooms.
• Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms, and restock heavy carts.
• Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion.
• Respond to guest requests for items like irons, safety instructions, assistance, direction, and other information.
• Report all suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions to the General Manager.
• Assist Houseperson, breakfast, etc., as requested.

Requirements

• Ability to provide a positive environment for both work and guests.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead, work in confined spaces, and communicate effectively.
• Strong cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 40 hours per week.
• Salary position based on experience.
