About the role
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living independently, building confidence, and experiencing meaningful moments every day. No experience needed - paid training provided. Full-time benefits and consistent scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Help individuals live independently in their home
- Shop, cook, and manage daily routines
- Get to appointments and community activities
- Build confidence and life skills
- Experience new opportunities and meaningful moments
- Support medication administration and health-related needs
- Complete electronic documentation and service notes
- Aid with household routines and daily living activities
- Respond to behavioral or emergency situations using provided training
- Build positive, meaningful relationships with the individuals you support
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with mobility needs
- Comfortable using computers and electronic documentation systems
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Willingness to complete required training and certifications
