About the role

The Floating Assistant Manager (ASM) role at Absolute Leadership involves assisting customers with renting units, enhancing sales through rentals, insurance, and moving supplies, providing excellent customer service, resolving issues professionally and positively, maintaining office and property cleanliness, performing minor maintenance, monitoring rates and specials, and handling administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with renting units in-person, via phone, and through other advertising/marketing opportunities;
  • Enhance sales through rentals, insurance and moving supplies;
  • Provide excellent customer service by identifying storage needs and offering solutions;
  • Guide new customers through rental processes;
  • Solves issues professionally and positively;
  • Maintain daily cleanliness and organization of the office, restrooms, grounds, and vacant units;
  • Keep well-organized records and perform minor maintenance tasks and regular property inspections to ensure timely and consistent completion;
  • Shop local competitors in-person and online; report information gathered, including rates and specials, to supervisors and other departments; perform additional marketing functions as needed;
  • Maintains awareness of rates, specials, and revenue-related factors;
  • Performs required daily administrative tasks including handling cash, balancing receipts, pursuing collections, processing daily bank deposits and completing auctions according to policy and laws;
  • If at a participating location, assists tenants with completing, processing and returning rentals through programs such as U-Haul, Penske, or company-owned rental truck services.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma/GED;
  • Experience in sales or retail environment preferred;
  • Experience in fast-paced, customer service-related environment preferred;
  • One year of experience in property management experience preferred;
  • A background screening will be conducted at time of hire.

Qualifications

Highly adaptable, with the ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic environment. Must possess strong interpersonal skills, be proactive, and have a positive attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required. Knowledge of local storage market trends is beneficial.

Competitive hourly rate based on experience.

Schedule

Approximately 38 hours per week, float between two Douglasville Storage properties, Monday through Friday, with some weekend availability.
