Full Time Fitness Ambassador

About the Role

This position services the Pasadena and Severna Park locations. As a Fitness Ambassador, you’ll be the heartbeat of the club, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members. This entry-level role is perfect for kicking off a career in fitness, leadership, or wellness, requiring no prior experience—just great energy and a people-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Greet members with enthusiasm and make everyone feel welcome
• Be a visible, approachable presence on the fitness floor
• Assist with check-ins, questions, and member needs
• Promote programs, events, and club offerings
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and motivating environment
• Build relationships—know names, celebrate wins, and encourage progress
• Facilitate PE@PF fitness programs and assist members with fitness programs through the Planet Fitness App
• Provide orientation and guidance to new members on basic workout routines and equipment use
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of cardio, strength, and functional training equipment
• Assist members with proper equipment use and safe techniques
• Support member retention by building rapport and encouraging positive workout experiences
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitization of equipment, locker rooms, and high-touch areas
• Conduct light maintenance checks and promptly report any issues

Pay

Starting at $15.50 per hour, with a raise upon certification and future tenure-based increases.

Schedule

Full-Time Schedule:

• Monday (Pasadena): 6:30 AM - 1:30 PM
• Tuesday (Severna Park): 11:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• Wednesday (Pasadena): 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
• Thursday (Pasadena): 11:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• Friday (Severna Park): 7:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Job Summary

The Fitness Ambassador is an entry-level trainer who provides a dynamic and engaging presence within the club, responsible for creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members. This role blends customer service excellence with active fitness floor interaction to enhance the overall member experience.

Essential Job Functions

• Fitness Floor Engagement: Facilitate PE@PF fitness programs, assist members with fitness programs, provide orientation, and support member retention.
• Member Experience & Customer Service: Greet members, foster a welcoming environment, engage with members, promote club programs, and assist with member inquiries.
• Cleanliness & Safety: Perform routine cleaning, conduct light maintenance checks, and maintain a safe and organized club environment.
