Full Time Field Service Technician

Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Field Service Technician in the Dallas, TX area. This full-time role involves servicing 70+ kiosks, including key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag), and third-party kiosks (Eco-ATM, Pokémon).

About the role

• Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed (determined by demand at the machine or schedule).
• Perform on-call repairs or adjustments when machines go out of order.
• Install new kiosks or swap older machines in the local area.
• Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power problems.
• Track inventory for re-stocking machines.
• Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, and store relationships.

Duties may change or new ones may be assigned at any time. Employees are expected to participate in safety and health programs, including reporting hazards and wearing required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred).
• Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations, or customer service (preferred).
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role (preferred).
• Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English, including technical terminology.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record (major violations will disqualify candidates).
• Reliable transportation with automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Reliable cell phone (reimbursed).

Skills

• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Professional representation of Hillman at all times.
• Ability to work weekends when required.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Varies by location/store setup; may involve cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors.
• Daily travel required, potentially up to 200 miles per day.
• Hand/eye coordination, functional vision, and hearing required.
• Medium physical demand: lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.

Pay

$22–$23 per hour, based on experience. Includes car allowance, cell-phone reimbursement, and a corporate gas card for business miles.
