Full Time Field Service Technician

Job Summary

Robotics and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Full Time Field Service Technician in the Davenport, IA area. The position pays $22-24 an hour and includes a company car, cell-phone reimbursement, and a corporate gas card for business miles. About the Role

This role involves servicing kiosks, performing on-call repairs, installing new kiosks, monitoring machines for issues, and optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, and store relationships. The territory consists of 70+ kiosks and requires approximately 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed.
• Perform on-call repairs or adjustments to the machine when the machine goes out of order.
• New kiosk installations or swap newer kiosks of machines in the local area.
• Monitor machines in territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues.
• Keep track of inventory for re-stocking machines that are in Kiosk Tech’s possession.
• Grow revenue in territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred)
• Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations, and customer service (preferred)
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred)
• Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English to include technical “jargon”

Qualifications

• Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to always represent Hillman professionally
• To work weekends when required

Skills

• Operational Equipment: Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver's license, clean driving record is mandatory, major driving violations will eliminate potential candidates, must have reliable transportation with automobile insurance (mileage reimbursement), must have a reliable cell phone (reimbursed)

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Work Environment: Sales/Service Environment varies due to location/store set-up. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors.
• Travel required daily. May have to drive 200 miles daily.
• Physical Demands: Sales/Service - Medium, lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
