Full Time Field Service Technician

Job Summary

Rotary and Digital Solutions (RDS) Division of The Hillman Group has an opening for a Full Time Field Service Technician in the Dallas, TX area. The position involves training on key duplicating (Minute Key), tag engraving (Quick Tag) kiosks and third-party services (Eco-ATM, Pokémon). The territory includes 70+ kiosks with approximately 40 hours per week. The pay range is $22-23 per hour. A company car, cell phone reimbursement, and a corporate gas card for business miles are provided.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, background in electromechanical repair and maintenance, prior retail merchandising, field operations, and customer service experience, and ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Re-stock and perform routine service on kiosks as needed.
• Perform on-call repairs or adjustments to the machine when it goes out of order.
• New kiosk installations or swaps of older kiosks in the local area.
• Maintain machines in the territory daily for issues and contact stores to resolve connectivity or power issues.
• Track inventory for re-stocking machines in Kiosk Tech's possession.
• Grow revenue in the territory by optimizing machine locations, uptime, product mix, store relationships, etc.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Background in electromechanical repair and maintenance (preferred).
• Prior experience in retail merchandising, field operations, and customer service (preferred).
• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar profile (preferred).
• Experience with tools and troubleshooting mechanical problems.
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English to include technical jargon.

Qualifications

• Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to represent Hillman professionally.
• To work weekends when required.

Skills

• Operational Equipment: Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, automobile insurance, and a reliable cell phone (reimbursed).
• Work Environment and Physical Demands: Sales/Service Environment varies due to location/store set-up. May be exposed to cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Travel required daily. May have to drive 200 miles daily. Hand/eye coordination required. Function vision and hearing required. Physical Demands: Sales/Service - Medium, lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
