St. Charles Community College (SCC), founded in 1986, serves a six-county region with over 540,000 residents. The college operates a main campus in Cottleville, recognized for its award-winning contemporary design, and the Dardenne Creek Campus, home to the Center for Healthy Living and the Field to Table Institute. Opening in Fall 2025, the Innovation West Campus in Wentzville will feature the Regional Workforce Innovation Center. We invite qualified candidates to apply for a full-time Mathematics Faculty position beginning with the Fall 2027 semester in August 2027. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student learning, assessment, and the integration of technology in instruction. They will collaborate with the Mathematics department to assess student performance and evaluate teaching effectiveness, with a proven track record of success across diverse student populations.
Responsibilities
- Teach transfer-level Mathematics courses, including College Algebra, Contemporary College Mathematics, and College Statistics
- Assess student performance in coordination with the Mathematics department to evaluate teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes
- Engage in college service and contribute to departmental initiatives
- Maintain a teaching load of 15 credit hours per semester
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master’s degree, M.A. or M.S., in Mathematics is required
- Preferred candidates will have college-level teaching experience in mathematics
- Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to supporting students through the high school to college transition
- Willingness to embrace technology in teaching and maintain high standards in classroom instruction, management, and assessment

- Instructor: $60,076
- Assistant Professor: $66,178
- Associate Professor: $72,753
Rank will be assessed at the time of hire based on years of experience and education according to pre-determined criteria.
