About the role
Located in the Valley of the Sun in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. GCU is an institutionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University. The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions is seeking a full-time faculty member for the Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders (BS-CSD) program.
Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction to students.
- Stimulate class discussions.
- Provide students with feedback on examinations and assignments.
- Remain current with new trends and developments in field of expertise.
- Participate in activities that support the development of the program.
- Maintain a course load consistent with the university's definition of full-time status (80-100 students).
Requirements
- Earned a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related area.
- Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas: speech sound disorders and/or phonology, motor speech disorders, hearing-related communication disorders, and training/supervising SLPAs.
- Active, current, unencumbered, unrestricted SLP license and ASHA CCC-SLP are required.
- Candidates must be eligible for Arizona licensure.
- Evidence of involvement in one’s professional area (i.e., membership in professional organizations, presentations, research, and /or publications).
Qualifications
- University teaching experience.
- Experience as a clinical instructor/clinical supervisor.
