Full Time Evening Shift DSP - Direct Care

Bancroft is a leading service-provider for children and adults with autism, other intellectual or developmental disabilities, or those in need of neurological rehabilitation.

About the role

We are looking for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who is passionate about providing quality care in a positive and empathetic manner to autistic individuals and those with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Schedule

• Wednesday: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Thursday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Pay

Salary range: $19.04–$19.44 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavioral treatment plans and collect direct observational data.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, social awareness, meal preparation, money management, and housekeeping.
• Provide personal care and supervision, actively participating in the life growth of each individual.
• Teach daily living and functional skills to help individuals achieve personal goals and transition to less restrictive residential settings.
• Accompany individuals to healthcare appointments and community outings, providing safe transportation.
• Resolve problem behavior situations and provide intervention while adhering to Bancroft’s quality standards for safety and approved crisis techniques.
• Complete paperwork and provide regular documentation as required.
• Maintain effective communication with residents and their parents, guardians, and other family members.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License in the candidate’s legal name and current address, with a minimum of one year of driving experience. License should be in good standing and free of restrictions.
• Minimum of six months of related work experience OR a Bachelor’s degree (or current enrollment) in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

Skills

• Prior experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual, or developmental disabilities (preferred).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
