About the role

Arrowhead Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated ER Veterinarian (DVM/VMD) to join our team in a full-time swing shift role, working 6–8 shifts per month, including at least one full weekend. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who thrives in urgent and emergency medicine and wants meaningful, consistent clinical involvement without a full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of urgent and emergency cases
• Collaboration with other veterinarians and support staff for efficient case management
• Supporting continuity of care across departments
• Providing high-quality veterinary care with a strong focus on emergency and urgent cases

Requirements

• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in Colorado
• Experience in emergency and urgent care
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery (VMD)
• At least 2 years of experience in emergency and urgent care
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Schedule

Current Clinic Hours

Mon–Sun: 7:00am – 10:00pm (urgent & emergency services available during operating hours)
