About the role
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates and provides skilled speech-language therapy to patients in home settings, including private homes, assisted living, and memory care facilities.
Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients with language impairments, motor speech disorders, dysphagia, cognitive communication issues, voice disorders, and communication aids.
- Work with individuals recovering from stroke or with progressive conditions like Parkinson's disease and dementia.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as an SLP.
- Valid driver's license, automobile liability insurance, and dependable vehicle in good condition.
- Ability to drive safely in all weather conditions and wear seat belts at all times.
Skills
- Dependable transportation and good driving record.
- Ability to operate in various home environments and provide patient-centered care.
