About the role
Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within established standards.
Responsibilities
- Promotes patient- and family-centered care, educating on illness management, discharge planning, and medication administration.
- Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, along with ongoing professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring clear communication across the care continuum.
- Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
- Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.
Requirements
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
- RN licensure required; no supervisory experience necessary.
- Preferred: BSN degree and ER RN experience.
