About the role

Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within established standards.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes patient- and family-centered care, educating on illness management, discharge planning, and medication administration.
  • Participates in safety, quality, and regulatory activities, along with ongoing professional development.
  • Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, ensuring clear communication across the care continuum.
  • Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations.
  • Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safe practices at all times.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
  • RN licensure required; no supervisory experience necessary.
  • Preferred: BSN degree and ER RN experience.
