About the role
Join a not-for-profit long-term care facility as a Nursing Assistant (NA).
Responsibilities
- Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
- Perform age-appropriate care such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and vital sign recording.
- Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
- Support residents during meals, snacks, and hydration, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Document interactions, communicate changes in resident condition, and assist with routine procedures.
- Gather specimens, provide housekeeping and laundry services, and encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities.
- Adhere to infection prevention policies and PPE protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Active CNA certification required or in process within four months.
- Completion of competency testing and ongoing continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually).
- Possibility of being classified as a Driver depending on responsibilities.
Skills
- Empathy, communication, and attention to detail.
