About the role
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides in-home care to patients, supporting activities of daily living and ensuring their well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal hygiene, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation
- Provide basic nursing care and follow prescribed exercises under supervision
- Prepare meals considering client preferences and dietary needs
- Offer companionship and engage clients in activities tailored to their interests
- Perform light housekeeping and maintain accurate records, reporting any changes in patient condition
- Document tasks via electronic charting and EVV systems, ensuring compliance with care plans
- Uphold patient confidentiality, privacy, and rights, while adhering to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Current certification with DFS and a valid driver’s license
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Effective communication and physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting (~50 lbs), bending, and standing
- Dependability, compassion, and ability to adapt to diverse patient and family environments
The role involves travel within a designated area, with no guaranteed hours or assignment length. PPE is provided.
