Full-Time Clinical Nurse Manager

About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Manager oversees daily operations in outpatient surgery units with low to moderate complexity. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring safe and supportive environments that promote patient engagement. This leadership role requires 24-hour accountability for direct care units, fostering a professional culture focused on team collaboration, professional development, and achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial operations, including budgeting and revenue.
• Oversee human resources functions such as hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, and compliance.
• Ensure effective technology utilization in patient care and nursing practices.
• Drive strategic initiatives involving change management and shared decision-making.
• Develop staff through training, performance management, and retention strategies.
• Build relationships and promote professional growth and diversity in staffing and patient care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN required, MSN or related master’s preferred or obtained within 3 years.
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification required; additional certifications based on unit assignment (e.g., PALS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP).
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience and 2 years in a leadership role preferred.
• Experience working across organizational levels and supporting team development.
• Advocate for diversity and professional growth.

Skills

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with budgeting and electronic timekeeping is a plus.
• Preferred experience in OR/PACU and pediatrics.
