CLINICAL NURSE MANAGER FULL TIME

About the role

AMG Physical Rehabilitation Hospital - Covington is seeking a Full Time Clinical Nurse Manager.

Responsibilities

• Authorized and designated by the Chief Clinical Officer to assume overall responsibility for clinical nursing practice.
• Ensures nursing and hospital standards and objectives are met.
• Acts as a resource and support person for the nursing staff.
• Focuses on quality and infection control data and measures for improved patient outcomes.
• Represents administration during any event occurring in their absence.
• Embraces and demands a culture of professionalism and accountability.
• Fosters a positive milieu.
• Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk.
• Communicates with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Provides clinical support at the bedside.
• Mentors and educates using evidenced based practice.

Requirements

• Current RN Louisiana clinical licensure in good standing required.
• Quality, infection control experience preferred.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages desirable.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing experience.
• Experience in a clinical leadership role preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
