Full-Time Clinical Nurse Manager

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Manager oversees daily operations in outpatient surgery units with low to moderate complexity, ensuring safe, patient-centered care through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. This leadership role holds 24-hour accountability for clinical activities, fostering a professional culture focused on team development and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage financial aspects, including budgeting and revenue.
• Supervise human resources functions such as hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Drive performance improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, and compliance.
• Ensure effective use of technology in patient care and nursing practices.
• Lead strategic initiatives involving change management and collaboration.
• Develop staff through training, performance management, and retention strategies.
• Promote diversity in staffing and patient care practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Oversee unit operations, staff management, and patient care quality.
• Drive performance metrics, safety, and compliance improvement.
• Lead strategic initiatives and foster professional development.
• Manage budgets and resource allocation effectively.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN required, MSN or higher preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio and BLS certification.
• Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; budgeting and electronic timekeeping skills are a plus.
• Experience in OR/PACU and pediatric care strongly preferred.
• Relevant professional nursing certifications are advantageous.
