About the role
IVI RMA North America is looking for a Clinical Assistant/Phlebotomist for our clinic in Center City, PA. This is a full-time role working from 6:45 am–3:30 pm.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures
- Follow proper protocols for all procedures
- Practice phlebotomy
- Accurately document ultrasound measurements, provider comments and use appropriate stim templates while chaperoning ultrasounds
- Clean exam rooms and equipment per protocol
- Set up and stock examination and procedure rooms
- Maintain clinical supplies inventory
- Collect and process specimens for in-house and outside laboratories
- Manage Lanfax for outside labs, reports, and results
- Enter results and email to provider team for review
- Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during, and after procedures
Academic Training
- Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program – preferred
- Phlebotomy Program – preferred
Position Requirements/Experience
- 6+ months experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice
- 6+ months experience in phlebotomy
- Prior experience in women’s healthcare – preferred
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
- Technical skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel – required
- EMR experience – preferred
