Full Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

About the role

As an Enhance Rehabilitation occupational therapist assistant, you will work under the guidance of an occupational therapist to support a dynamic team. Your responsibilities include assisting in the treatment of patients by following an individualized plan of care developed by Occupational Therapists. You will ensure that every patient receives quality treatment leading to excellent functional outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
• Aid patients through all phases of Occupational Therapy treatment and techniques.
• Communicate with patients about their treatment plans and document their conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each session.
• Interact continuously with Occupational Therapists, Directors of Rehab, and facility staff to provide comprehensive care.
• Operate and utilize your knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong educational background in occupational therapy or a closely related field. Additionally, you must possess a current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in your state. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care are also essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy or a related field.
• Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in your state.
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
