About the role
Thorne Crest Senior Living Community in Albert Lea, MN, invites you to join our dynamic therapy team as a Full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed occupational therapists in providing individualized treatment plans to enhance daily living activities for residents.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate residents’ functional abilities and develop appropriate intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans that meet the needs of each resident.
- Provide hands-on assistance during therapy sessions to support residents in achieving their goals.
- Document progress and communicate with residents, families, and other healthcare providers as needed.
Requirements
- A current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- A minimum of one year of experience working in a healthcare setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
