About the role

Homewood at Crumland Farms in Frederick, MD is a premier Life Plan Community located on a picturesque farm just outside of the city limits. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated and compassionate staff and provide high-quality care to a diverse group of residents.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate resident needs using standardized assessment tools and techniques
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Provide direct patient care including therapeutic activities, exercises, and adaptive equipment usage
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care planning
  • Document all patient interactions, progress, and outcomes accurately and timely
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and improve skills

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
  • At least one year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
