Full-Time Central Fill Technician (Mid Shift)

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote proper Pharmacy, general safety, and security procedures and processes of the company.
• Use scanning and counting technologies to identify and select appropriate pharmaceutical products and quantities for filling prescription orders.
• Ensure medication counting devices are continuously replenished.
• Assist with maintaining the pharmacy system and technologies that facilitate proper counting, conveyance, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions.
• Monitor inventory and supply levels at the responsible stations, calibrate machines, perform general troubleshooting (jams, blockages) within conveyance, counting, and packaging machines, escalate technical issues, and work as a team to reach team goals.
• Monitor and maintain uptime of automated counting, collating, packaging, and sorting devices, ensuring continuous operation through basic troubleshooting of routine errors.
• Create and maintain documentation as requested.
• Manually fill prescriptions as needed.
• Verify attributes of the product such as: size, strength, quantity, etc. before processing orders.
• Enter or scan expiration date and lot numbers.
• Ensure labels on prescriptions are correct.
• Prepare packages, sort, and manifest prescription orders if needed.
• Stock and rotate merchandise and supplies to limit shrinkage if needed.
• Assist Inventory Technicians as requested.
• Participate in Inventory Audits as needed.
• Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Required: Pharmacy Technician License in Arizona.
• Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information.
• Preferred: A national Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Technical Experience: Central Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Prefers to work in a closed-door environment (no adjudication, customer interaction, phone work).
• Good computer skills.
• Good math skills.

Physical Requirements

• Willing and able to stand/walk at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, rotating, reaching, and lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Visual focus such as counting, observing, etc. is required consistently.
• Performing repetitive tasks up to 100% of the time.
