Full Time Cake Decorator

Cub Inver Grove Heights is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a full-time cake decorator position. Cake Decorators provide quality bakery products that meet customer needs, ensure customer satisfaction, and deliver a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery products
• Stock, rotate, and face bakery product
• Ensure adequate quantities of product and decorating supplies
• Perform clean-up of department
• Assist with department merchandising as directed
• Assist with customer questions or requests

Requirements

• Experience with equipment operation (spatula, decorating tubes, airbrush, copy machine, cake projector, mixer, bakery rack)
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment, as direct supervision may not always be available
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
• Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions
• Extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces

Schedule

Open availability is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

UNFI anticipates paying a competitive rate for this position, with actual pay depending on factors such as education, experience, training, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
