Full-Time Biobank Technician I

About the role

The Biobank Technician I is responsible for accurately registering, labeling, retrieving, and discarding biological and production materials, ensuring proper temperature control and compliance with regulatory standards such as SOPs, GMP, GTP, and ISO.

Responsibilities

• Handle materials with care
• Perform quality checks
• Utilize inventory management systems
• Maintain chain of custody
• Scan barcodes
• Verify information
• Label, store, retrieve, package, and document activities
• Assist with facility upkeep
• Generate management reports

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Work with refrigerants
• Stand or sit for extended periods
• Handle potentially infectious materials in a clean environment, following universal precautions
• Flexibility to work across multiple facilities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of teamwork and attention to detail experience
• Life sciences background preferred
• GMP/GTP knowledge preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Decision‑making ability
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
