About the role

The St. Francis Xavier Catholic School System is seeking an individual for a full-time Learning Services Specialist/Teacher position at Xavier High School starting August 2026. This position serves students with diverse learning needs and requires specialized training in special education, literacy, and/or math intervention.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a dynamic educational team to support students with diverse learning needs.
• Provide specialized instruction and interventions based on identified student needs.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Work closely with parents, teachers, and other school staff to ensure consistent support for students.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• A bachelor’s degree.
• Cross-Categorical Special Education certification.
• Middle Childhood – Early Adolescence certification.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students who have diverse learning needs.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Ability to assess and adapt teaching strategies based on student progress.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
