Job Summary

The appropriate candidate must possess an ACT 235 and be able to pass a Public Trust Background Check. Physical Security Officers (PSO’s) can expect to be working in demanding and fast-paced environments, protecting all people, information, and property assigned, while delivering on high-end customer service.

Job Duties / Essential Functions

  • Delivering high-end customer service
  • Responding to emergencies
  • Deterring and preventing crime
  • Performing ingress/egress control procedures
  • Investigating incidents
  • Completing daily logs and incident reports
  • Conducting regular walking or vehicle patrols
  • Building and maintaining a professional rapport with clients, guests, and co-workers
  • De-escalating conflicts
  • Maintaining CCTV cameras
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications

  • ACT 235 (current)
  • 21 years of age
  • Current and valid DL
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of armed security experience required
  • Must be able to pass Physical Agility Test and Armed Security Officer course
  • Must be able to pass drug screen
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient time management skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent de-escalation skills
  • Proficient firearms skills
  • Extensive use of force knowledge
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening, and OPS training requirements

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

  • Ability to work under stress / pressure
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to wear a uniform
  • Ability to pass Physical Agility Test (PAT)
