FULL TIME - Admissions Director

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Admissions Director to join our skilled nursing facility team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care and support to our guests, ensuring they receive a memorable and positive experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess inquiries and respond to referrers immediately
• Ensure an immediate response to phone, fax, and walk-in inquiries and referrals
• Facilitate admission decision and ensure positive admission experience for customer and family
• Maintain thorough knowledge of medical, social, and financial information relating to Eldercare
• Conduct follow-up on all inquiries which have not yet been converted to admissions
• Nurture referral relationships with physicians, social workers, and discharge planners
• Develop and maintain referral base
• Maintain an accurate record of available beds/census
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Maintain current records of all residents admitted/discharged by this facility in accordance with established policies and procedures

Requirements

• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, visitors, and the general public
• Calm and level-headed in emergencies
• Well-groomed and able to work harmoniously with other personnel
• Able to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
• Able to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing admission practices
• Knowledgeable in the use of computers, data input and output, etc.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm
• Willingness to handle residents, staff, and visitors based on their maturity level
• No direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
