Requirements
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- BLS Certification
- Active NC Provider license in good standing
- At least 1 year Provider experience in Emergency Medicine and/or Urgent Care settings
- Prior experience in an outpatient medical clinic or urgent care setting preferred
- No new / Recent Grads
- DOT Certification is preferred; if you currently don't have one, will be required to get certified within 6 months of hire
Schedule
3(12) shifts during (Monday thru Friday). Provider will cover / Float to the following (3) locations: Wilson, Zebulon and Garner.
Responsibilities
- PA or NP Provider obtains an adequate history and performs an appropriate physical examination for the presenting problem
- Order pertinent laboratory and radiographic studies as needed based on the initial evaluation
- Make appropriate therapeutic decisions in conjunction with the patient based on the information gathered
- Administers appropriate medication or treatment as necessary
- May perform Minor surgical procedures such as suturing, stitching, stapling, incision and drainage when necessary
