Responsibilities

• Oversee cardiac anesthesia services
• Work on advanced cardiac cases including open hearts, CABGs (90%+ on pump), valves, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• No transplants or pediatric hearts
• Potential need for regional anesthesia for post-op pain management
• Exclusive focus on cardiac cases

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in cardiac anesthesia
• Experience with complex cardiac surgeries
• Strong leadership skills

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Texas
• Passing score on the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) examination

Skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage high-stress environments
• Strong surgical and procedural skills
• Knowledge of advanced cardiac procedures
