About the role
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Full Stack Software Developer to join our innovative team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this critical role, you will contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from designing scalable back-end systems to creating intuitive and responsive front-end interfaces. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, with expertise in multiple programming languages including Java, Python, Rust, and JavaScript, and experience working within Linux environments. Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, secure back-end services and responsive front-end user interfaces
- Build and maintain containerized high-efficiency systems utilizing Java, Python, and Rust for performance-critical components
- Create interactive web applications using JavaScript and frameworks such as React and Svelte
- Implement DevSecOps practices by automating testing and deployment processes within GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into functional, mission-critical software solutions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems to ensure peak performance, security, and reliability
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Integrate AI assistance into development workflows, especially with local large language models (LLMs) (nice to have)
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of software development experience, including a minimum of 1 year in Rust programming
- Active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the required level
- Proficiency with Linux environments and tools (ssh, vim, cron)
- Experience building and deploying containerized applications using Docker or Podman
- Strong back-end development skills with Java and Python
- Familiarity with Rust for systems-level programming
- Proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks such as React and Svelte
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, Trivy, and SonarQube
- Solid understanding of RESTful and gRPC APIs, microservices architecture, and database management
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
