About the role

This contingent resource assignment involves participating in moderately complex Software Engineering initiatives supporting the Mail & Print Operations technology organization. The team manages applications for shipping label generation, scanning, printing, and mail processing across the enterprise. The role focuses on .NET development and cloud technologies within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and support applications using .NET Core and related Microsoft technologies
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and Web API services
  • Support modernization of legacy applications into cloud-native and containerized solutions
  • Develop and optimize SQL Server database solutions
  • Leverage OpenShift and modern deployment platforms for cloud migration initiatives
  • Support vulnerability remediation and application security efforts
  • Integrate and support messaging/event-driven solutions
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and code reviews
  • Collaborate with development, architecture, infrastructure, and business teams
  • Support application deployments, releases, and production troubleshooting activities
  • Aid in CI/CD implementation and automation initiatives

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on development experience with .NET Core, Web APIs, and RESTful services
  • Strong experience with SQL Server and database development
  • Experience with OpenShift (OCP), Autosys, and Agile software development
  • Modernizing applications and supporting cloud-based environments
  • Strong coding proficiency and ability to perform in technical interviews
