Full-Stack Java Developer (AI-Enabled Development)

About the role

The Full Stack Java Developer will design, develop, and maintain enterprise software applications using modern Java and Spring Boot technologies. This individual will be responsible for backend services, APIs, integrations, database development, distributed application architecture, and modern frontend development. The role works across the full application stack with approximately 70% backend and 30% frontend focus. Engineers on this team actively incorporate AI tools into their software development process and will have the opportunity to build AI-powered features and AI agents as part of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and enhance backend services, APIs, and integrations
• Develop modern frontend applications using Angular, React, Stencil, or other JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
• Work with relational databases and SQL
• Contribute to distributed application architecture
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, Amazon Q) to accelerate coding, testing, troubleshooting, and engineering productivity
• Build AI-powered functionality and AI agents as part of future development initiatives
• Collaborate in Agile/iterative software development environments

Requirements

• 5–10 years of professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field
• Strong hands-on Java development experience
• Experience developing Spring Boot microservices
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Experience developing modern frontend applications using Angular, React, Stencil, or other JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks
• Experience developing enterprise-scale applications
• Actively uses AI-assisted development tools as part of day-to-day software development
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
