About the role

The Fraud team is seeking a hands‑on, innovation‑driven Java Developer who will actively leverage AI‑powered tools across the software development life cycle (SDLC) to design, build, and scale next‑generation fraud detection solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, acts as a builder and problem‑solver rather than just a coder, and can innovate at speed and scale.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI tools throughout the SDLC to design, build, and scale fraud detection solutions.
• Address green‑field problems and drive innovation at acceleration and scale.
• Collaborate with a global, dynamic team to deliver high‑quality software.
• Apply functional programming concepts alongside core Java development.
• Contribute to microservices architecture and distributed system design.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of professional experience in software development.
• Commercial experience with core Java programming and strong proficiency.
• Experience with a functional programming language.
• Fundamental knowledge of microservices.
• Understanding of distributed system design and infrastructure.
• Strong experience with distributed caching (Redis) and relational databases (MSSQL, Oracle, Sybase IQ preferred).
• Exposure to middleware such as Kafka and MQ.
• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Professional interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a global team.

Desired Skills

• Full software development life‑cycle experience.
• Agile team experience using Agile and DevOps practices & tools.
• Experience with continuous integration systems.
• Familiarity with schedulers such as Cron, Autosys, or Control‑M.
• Cloud‑ready development experience, including Docker containers.
• Willingness to learn Scala functional programming.
• Knowledge of automation and scripting languages (Python preferred).
• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
