AI Java Developer

About the role

The Enhanced Client Verification Team is seeking a Senior Java Developer in Austin, TX with experience in AI-led application development in Java to work within a dynamic Agile Scrum Team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and microservices.
• Build robust REST APIs using Spring Boot and modern development practices.
• Integrate AI-driven capabilities into enterprise applications.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Perform code reviews, testing, and quality assurance activities.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Java application development.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of test automation, TDD, and integration testing.
• Experience with Splunk, SQL/MongoDB, Kafka, or Angular preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience utilizing AI tools within the development process.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of leading application teams to successfully build and support enterprise web applications.
• A high level of responsibility and accountability with a support structure necessary for development growth.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI technologies such as Copilot/Claude.
