About the role
Iron EagleX (IEX), a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), delivers agile IT and Intelligence solutions. The Full Stack Engineer/Developer-Junior will support Defense & Intelligence Programs at Special Operations Command-Central (SOCCENT) located at MacDill AFB, FL. This role has an anticipated start date of mid-September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and maintaining data-driven backend systems supporting secure, high-performance search and analytics missions.
- Support development of backend services for data ingestion and retrieval, and help build APIs and microservices using Flask or FastAPI.
- Contribute to DevSecOps practices including CI/CD, Docker containerization, and infrastructure-as-code while assisting with EDA on CAI/PAI datasets.
Requirements
- Current DoW Top Secret/SCI Clearance is required.
- 5-8 years of related full stack development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- US Citizenship is required.
- 5 days on-site at MacDill AFB, FL.
Skills
- Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
- Proficient in Python, Flask or FastAPI.
- Familiar with relational/non-relational databases including Postgres and Elasticsearch.
- Proficient with Git, SQLAlchemy, and basic CI/CD pipeline support.
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and DevSecOps tools is preferred.

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $119,637 - $161,863. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
