Full Stack Engineer – Marketplace MVP (Mid-Senior, Remote Contract)

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy a robust MVP for a two-sided marketplace platform
• Implement core functionalities: user registration, bookings, payment processing (escrow), search, and admin dashboard
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver technical solutions aligned with business goals
• Plan and execute the integration of future features such as chat, KYC, reviews, analytics, notifications, and AI-driven tools
• Ensure code quality, scalability, and security best practices throughout the development lifecycle
• Participate in hybrid work arrangements and occasional travel as needed
• Provide technical documentation and support for platform handover and future scaling

Requirements

• Proven experience as a full stack or backend engineer, ideally with marketplace or SaaS platform development
• Proficiency in modern web development frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Django, Ruby on Rails)
• Strong understanding of database design, API development, and payment gateway integration
• Experience with user authentication, escrowed payments, and admin panel creation
• Familiarity with cloud deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and scalable architecture
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to work in a hybrid environment and travel as required
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with AI, CRM, or marketing automation tools is a plus
