About the role
This is a full-time, W-2 contract position based in Seattle, WA with a hybrid schedule of 2 days per week onsite.
Responsibilities
- Design and build robust TypeScript/Node.js services supporting EHR integrations and clinical workflows across a distributed, microservices architecture
- Deploy and operate containerized microservices on AWS, owning reliability and scalability of backend infrastructure
- Build React/TypeScript provider- and patient-facing interfaces optimized for both desktop and mobile experiences
- Develop vendor integrations for patient education and engagement platforms, including notifications and activity tracking
- Contribute to code reviews and system-design discussions, balancing engineering quality with the pace of a startup environment
Requirements
- Strong experience in TypeScript/JavaScript building production-grade software systems
- Strong experience in RESTful and event-driven API development using Node.js (Nest.js or Express)
- Strong experience in React and TypeScript front-end development, including mobile-responsive and desktop-optimized interfaces
- Strong experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and containerized microservice deployment
- Strong experience in computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, OOP design, concurrency, and distributed systems
- Strong experience in debugging across distributed services within agile, fast-moving environments
