Full Stack Engineer

Join a dynamic team as a Full Stack Engineer focused on building scalable web applications across the frontend, backend, and cloud. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to own features end to end while collaborating with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities Design and develop responsive web interfaces using ReactBuild and support backend services and APIs with Node.js and PythonDevelop, deploy, and maintain cloud-based solutions on AWSTranslate business needs into technical solutions in partnership with product and design teamsWrite clean, reusable, and testable code that follows engineering best practicesParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and ongoing process improvementsTroubleshoot, debug, and improve application performance across the stackContribute to a collaborative development environment with a focus on quality and continuous learning Skills Strong hands-on experience with React, including hooks, state management, and component-based architectureExperience building backend applications with Node.js and/or PythonPractical knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and API GatewayExperience designing and consuming RESTful APIsWorking knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databasesUnderstanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practicesExperience using Git-based version control workflowsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Preferred Skills Experience with serverless architecturesFamiliarity with Docker and KubernetesKnowledge of frontend testing tools such as Jest and React Testing LibraryExposure to Agile or Scrum development environments Horizontal is committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and welcoming environment where different perspectives are valued and everyone can contribute meaningfully.
