About the role
The Full Stack Engineer will join a small, rapidly growing team at CivilGrid, a venture-backed startup tackling a $4.7T US infrastructure market. Reporting to the Head of Product & Engineering, this hybrid role requires working from the Boston, MA office at least 2 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end features, covering database models to user-facing components using React
- Tackle a variety of areas: web and mobile applications, mapping interfaces, data processing pipelines, algorithmic relevancy, and real-time collaboration tools
- Profile and tune performance across the entire stack to ensure efficient and responsive systems
- Implement and maintain analytics, health monitoring, alerts, and logging to maintain operational visibility and system reliability
Requirements
- 3 years of experience working with JavaScript or TypeScript, particularly with React and Node.js (or equivalent frameworks)
- Experience working on a complex B2B product
- Strong foundational knowledge of Postgres
- Familiarity with geospatial frameworks (PostGIS, GeoJSON, map rendering libraries, etc.)
Qualifications
- Autonomous, moves fast, takes initiative without being asked
- A degree in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field (B.S. or M.S.)

Pay
The base salary range for this role is $137,700 - $208,200. Final offers are determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, level, and work location.
Schedule
This role is a hybrid role with expectations that you are working from the Boston, MA office at least 2 days per week if hired.
