Full Service Technician
Brief Description
The Full Service Technician is responsible for reconditioning, reassembly, and testing transformers. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards, and company policies are essential functions of this role.
Read and follow work order instructions to ensure transformers are rebuilt to customer specifications. Gather parts and tools needed for the work order, ensuring they are in good condition. Perform reconditioning and reassembly tasks, including cleaning and inspecting components, replacing gaskets, changing oil, and performing basic repairs. Conduct quality checks and basic testing on units before leaving the workstation. Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and return them to proper location after use. May require the use of overhead cranes and other material handling equipment. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED preferred
- Mechanical and transformer experience preferred
- OSHA10 certification preferred
- Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred
- Proven track record in safety excellence
- Adhere to all safety and environmental compliance regulations
- Notify management of safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries
- Ability to read and interpret work orders
- Meet department and production goals
- Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail, and teamwork
- Adhere to company policies and embody core values
- Ability to learn other department job functions and assist as needed
- Complete required compliance and safety training
- Work flexible schedules and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Lift 50 lbs repeatedly
- Stand and walk for long durations
- Bend, squat, and kneel multiple times for long durations
- Climb up and down ladders multiple times
- Balance and stand on ladders with three points of contact for extended periods
- Comfortable working in both hot and cold environments
