Full Service Technician

Brief Description

Testing switchgear, specifically 15kv metal clad and pad mounted switches. Taking apart, cleaning, repairing, and putting switchgear back together. Ordering needed parts through our local purchasing agent. Repair and reconditioning dry type transformers. Proficient with the use of hand tools/power tools. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Mechanical and transformer experience preferred
• Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization
• Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries
• Ability to read and interpret work orders
• Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations
• Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment
• Adheres to the company's employee handbook policies and embodies the organization's core values
• Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed
• Complete company compliance and safety training when required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment

Physical Requirements

• Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times
• Standing and walking for long durations
• Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations
• Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled
