About the role
We are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper / Office Manager to oversee the organization's day-to-day accounting functions and office operations.
This is a highly autonomous role for a professional who enjoys both accounting and administration and takes pride in keeping an organization running smoothly. As a key member of a small team, you will manage financial records, support budgeting and reporting processes, coordinate office operations, maintain organizational records, and serve as a trusted resource to executive leadership and board members.

Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Management
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records and general ledger activity
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Process invoices, deposits, payments, and reimbursements
- Perform monthly bank and account reconciliations
- Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Coordinate audit support and maintain financial documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
- Monitor cash flow and maintain organized financial records
Office Administration & Operations
- Manage daily office operations and administrative functions
- Maintain contracts, organizational records, and document management systems
- Coordinate vendors, service providers, and office resources
- Support executive leadership with administrative and operational needs
- Schedule meetings and assist with special projects and organizational initiatives
- Maintain confidential files and records with a high degree of discretion
Board & Leadership Support
- Prepare and distribute meeting materials and agendas
- Maintain meeting records and official organizational documentation
- Support governance-related administrative activities
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
Required
- 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or office management experience
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Experience managing full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in nonprofit, public sector, governmental, or membership-based organizations
- Experience supporting executive leadership and boards of directors
- Experience with budgeting, audits, and financial reporting
