We are looking for an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a busy organization in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently manage transactional accounting, payroll coordination, and financial reporting while maintaining accuracy across multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end bookkeeping activities, maintaining accurate records across payables, receivables, and general ledger transactions.
- Manage a high volume of vendor invoices by entering, classifying, routing for approval, and preparing timely disbursements.
- Administer customer billing and payment posting, follow up on outstanding balances, and reconcile account activity to ensure clean receivable records.
- Initiate and track wire transfers and electronic payments with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to approval procedures.
- Process payroll and maintain supporting documentation in accordance with applicable wage and reporting requirements.
- Produce profit and loss statements along with other routine financial reports to support operational and management review.
- Complete monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and credit cards, researching discrepancies and resolving variances promptly.
- Maintain current and reliable financial data within Sage Intacct and provide support during month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Follow established accounting policies and control standards to promote consistency, accuracy, and compliance in financial operations.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping or a closely related accounting position.
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience processing payroll, including maintaining accurate payroll records and supporting compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct and familiarity with ADP payroll systems.
- Strong ability to prepare financial statements, including profit and loss reporting, with a high level of accuracy.
- Experience handling electronic payments, cash activity, and bank reconciliations in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of transactions effectively.
