About the role

Directs all aspects of The Marek Group’s Fulfillment warehouse and logistics activities to ensure all operational, safety and performance metrics are achieved to meet or exceed customer expectations. Defines and implements strategies of continuous improvement to drive productivity and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Motivates, develops and directs the work of the Fuse employees and temporary staff.
  • Develops and implements system improvements by leading continuous improvement projects and by analyzing process work flow, staffing and space requirements, and equipment layout.
  • Reviews, understands, and ensures compliance with customer requirements for tracking, packaging and shipping of product.
  • Optimizes packaging methods.
  • Troubleshoots all receiving, shipping, and inventory complaints to find the root cause, help resolve the issue, and prevent reoccurrence.
  • Communicates and collaborates cross-functionally to solve issues.
  • Develops cycle counting routines and drives continuous improvement activities to improve inventory record accuracy.
  • Works with IT to optimize ERP systems as required gain operational efficiencies and process controls.
  • Sets clear expectations for performance, holds employees accountable to work standards, and appraises performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Identifies developmental needs of employees.
  • Provides coaching, mentoring, and necessary resources for employees to expand their job knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Trains employees on the processes and methods required to achieve Company standards for quality, quantity, and safety.
  • Monitors work of employees to ensure that all work, quality, housekeeping, and safety procedures are being followed.
  • Ensures that department work instructions reflect current policies and procedures.
  • Confers with other supervisors and management to coordinate and improve the efficiency of operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation and team work.
  • Actively participates in management, production, and training meetings.
  • Reports reasonable suspicion of drug or alcohol use consistent with The Marek Group’s Drug and Alcohol Testing policy and procedures.
  • Maintains or exceeds production standards through efficient organization and planning.
  • Follow and complies with safety policies and procedures.
  • Accurately completes all required documentation.
  • Meets attendance policy requirements.
  • Contributes to team effort by assisting in areas as needed.
