The starting pay range for this position is $23.75 - $25.75 per hour. The full pay range is $23.75 - $40.40 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.

About the Role
As a Fulfillment Operations Team Leader, you will help ensure guests get what they want, when they want it, and how they want it. This role involves managing operations, process, and efficiency to deliver a consistent and high-quality guest experience. You will lead a team in picking, prepping, packing, sorting, and shipping products safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly experience.
- Train and ensure team members understand and deliver on Target’s guest experience commitments and operational standards.
- Observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.
- Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, improve performance, and align the team on execution.
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes guest service; model, train, and coach expectations.
- Lead fulfillment goals and understand your role in supporting sales growth and total store profitability.
- Utilize workload planning tools to ensure all scheduled tasks are completed and orders are fulfilled to meet delivery, freshness, and service standards.
- Review fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop action plans.
- Create daily plans for your team with direction from your leader.
- Enable efficient delivery to guests by leading pickup and ship-from-store workload.
- Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions; develop a guest-centric team.
- Establish clear goals around quality, accuracy, and timeliness; hold team members accountable.
- Close training gaps through coaching conversations.
- Ensure the team follows food safety guidelines and selects fresh food items for guests.
- Order and stock supplies as needed.
- Follow all safe and secure training processes, including key carrier responsibilities.
- Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities.
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and creating equitable experiences.
- Lead and model a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
- Identify and correct hazards; hold the team accountable for following safety expectations.
- Support merchandise protection strategies across the store.
- Lead and demonstrate best practices as outlined in team onboarding and learning.
- Address all store emergency and compliance needs.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive Up (DU) while maintaining compliance.
- Perform all other duties as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong workload management and prioritization skills.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Effective communication skills.
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately.
- Handle cash register operations as needed.
- Climb up and down ladders.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable and prompt attendance.
