As a Fulfillment Operations Team Leader at Target, you will help all families discover the joy of everyday life by ensuring guests get what they want, when they want it, and how they want it. Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an easy, inspiring, and friendly experience.
- Ensure every team member understands, is trained, and consistently delivers on Target’s guest experience commitments and operational standards.
- Actively observe and provide feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.
- Review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, improve execution, and celebrate wins.
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by modeling, training, and coaching expectations.
- Lead your team to drive fulfillment goals and support sales growth, understanding how your department impacts total store profitability.
- Utilize workload planning tools to ensure scheduled workload completion and order fulfillment to meet delivery, freshness, and service standards.
- Review fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop resolution plans.
- Create daily plans for your team with direction from your direct leader.
- Be an expert in operations, accuracy, process, and efficiency to enable efficient delivery to guests.
- Evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.
- Establish clear goals around quality, accuracy, and timeliness, holding team members accountable to expectations.
- Close training gaps through coaching conversations.
- Ensure the team follows food safety guidelines and selects fresh food items for guests.
- Order and stock supplies timely, partnering with your direct leader for ordering.
- Follow all safe and secure training and processes, including assuming store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities as needed.
- Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, fostering equitable experiences.
- Lead and model a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, holding others accountable.
- Promote a safety culture by modeling safe behaviors, correcting hazards, and reporting incidents.
- Support merchandise protection strategies across the store, including ordering, storage, and application.
- Address all store emergency and compliance needs.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick-up (OPU), and Drive Up (DU) while maintaining compliance.
- Perform all other duties based on business needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lead and hold others accountable.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
- Effective communication skills.
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
- Interpret instructions, reports, and information accurately.
- Handle cash register operations as needed.
- Climb up and down ladders.
- Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance.
- Operate handheld scanners, frequency devices, and other technology equipment as directed.
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable and prompt attendance.
Pay
The starting pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00 per hour. The full pay range is $24.00 - $40.80 per hour, based on factors such as labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
